These terms apply when you use the Marcus app, made by Vuvee. By using Marcus you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Using Marcus
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Marcus on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. Don't misuse the service — for example by attempting to disrupt it, access other users' data, or use it for anything unlawful.
Your content
The books and documents you import remain yours. Only import content you lawfully own or have the right to use — you are responsible for making sure your books don't infringe anyone's copyright. If you sign in, your imported content is stored on our servers solely to provide sync and restore; we claim no ownership of it.
AI-generated content
Explanations, summaries and recaps are generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. They're provided as a reading aid, not as factual, professional or medical advice. Fair-use limits apply to free accounts.
Subscriptions
Marcus Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), which permanently removes your synced data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Marcus running, but the service is provided"as is" without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vuvee is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.
Changes to these terms
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use of Marcus after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
